SUMMARY:Diwali Celebration (San Francisco)
DESCRIPTION:Celebrating Diwali \nDiwali\, Festival of Lights\, is one of the largest celebrations for many people around the globe. Amidst the vast number of festivals and regional celebrations in India\, Diwali is a festival that is celebrated with joyous spirit in fall each year. The festival gets its name from the row (avali) of clay lamps (deepa) that Indians light outside their homes to symbolize the inner light that protects from spiritual darkness. The five-day Festival of Lights is celebrated by Jains\, Hindus\, and Sikhs for different reasons\, although the main theme which runs throughout is the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil. \nDate: Tuesday\, November 5\, 2024 \nTime: 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. \nLocation: Amber India (25 Yerba Buena Lane\, San Francisco\, CA) \nCost: Buffet lunch – $32 (not including tips\, tax and drinks) \nPlease RSVP to Chintan Dholakia by Monday\, November 4th

SUMMARY:AAPF Young Professionals Lunch and Learn
DESCRIPTION:This is AAPF’s monthly lunch and learn program for members who are early in their public finance careers (less than four years). A few senior AAPF members are sharing their thoughts and insights on the industry and make themselves available to help grow the next generation of leaders. AAPF started with a group of young professionals meeting for lunch\, and it has grown into the 300+ members today\, so we want to honor our roots and bring back this wonderful tradition. If you would like to join these monthly sessions\, please send an e-mail to Christine Choi and Tim Tung.
